A Three-Hour Journey Into the Places That Hold Us
The Quiet Parts That Carry Us
There are parts of the body that quietly carry us through almost everything we do.
Our feet, calves, thighs, hips, ribs, and torso absorb pressure, create stability, and help us move through the world. They support our heads, our arms, our legs, and one another—often without us ever stopping to notice.
How Daily Life Shapes These Spaces
But the way we live can ask a lot of these spaces.
We sit in chairs. We stand. We walk. We drive. We repeat patterns of movement that can compress the thighs, restrict the ribs, tighten the calves, and create holding through the hips and feet.
Exploring the Supportive Parts
In this three-hour workshop, we explore these supportive parts and the relationships between them.
Using Fascial Therapy, Yin, somatic movement, breath, meditation, and energetic awareness, we gently create space through the feet, calves, legs, hips, ribs, and torso while exploring how each area communicates with the others.
Understanding the Body as Connection
We aren’t simply opening individual parts. We are exploring the connections between them—how the feet support the calves, how the calves support the legs, how the legs support the hips, how the hips and ribs influence the torso, and how the entire body works together to carry us.
The body is a conversation, not a collection of separate parts.
Creating Space for Ease
When we create space in the places that support us, movement can begin to feel less effortful. The body has more room to fluctuate, adapt, breathe, and respond.
There will be movement, stillness, breath, and time to listen to the places that have been working so hard for us.
An Invitation to Give Back
This is an invitation to give something back to the parts of your body that have been holding you up. Come ready to soften, create space, and discover how being better supported can allow you to move through life with greater ease.
Comfort & Support During the Practice
Bolsters, eye masks, and extra blocks will be available for your comfort and support. You are also welcome to bring your own props if you prefer.
